Server Guidelines

Content ratings, disclosure requirements, and what gets a server listing removed.
View as Markdown

These guidelines cover what’s specific to server listings. They apply on top of the general Community Guidelines. Read this before you submit your server.

Content ratings

If any part of your server, even a single channel, contains mature or adult content, your listing must carry every tag that applies. This is a disclosure requirement, not a penalty. A server can hold more than one tag at once, for example Mature Content and NSFW together. Only the NSFW tag changes how the listing is shown.

Mature Content

Dark themes, violence, strong language, alcohol or drug references, or horror. Not sexual, and not gated on Fluxer. Shown normally with a small badge.

Adult Content

Suggestive or romantic content, non-explicit sexual themes, or partial nudity in art. Often has a light gate on Fluxer, but not full 18+ verification. Shown normally with a small badge.

NSFW

Explicit sexual content, graphic gore, or anything that needs Fluxer’s full age-verification gate. Blurred, requires login, and is opt-in for viewers.

You can update your tags after submission from your server’s edit page. Reviewers can add or remove any combination of tags from the review queue.

What you must do

  • Apply every tag that covers any part of the server, and describe the general nature of the content if a reviewer asks.
  • Put NSFW channels behind an age-verification or opt-in role. They must not be visible or joinable by new members by default.
  • Keep your icon, banner, and public listing description safe for work, whichever tags you carry.

See Community Guidelines for the Brazil age-verification requirement that applies to NSFW-tagged listings.

Automatic removal

Any of these gets a listing delisted, regardless of votes, FLAT score, or how long it has been up. These are in addition to the general conduct rules that apply to every listing type.

  • Slurs or hate speech in the name, description, tags, icon, or any public channel.
  • NSFW content that wasn’t disclosed with the NSFW tag.
  • Sexual or graphic content in a channel visible without age-gating or verification.
  • NSFW content shown in the icon, banner, description, or screenshots.
  • Content that clearly meets the NSFW bar but is tagged only Mature or Adult to dodge the login gate.
  • Doxxing, coordinated harassment, or brigading.
  • Malware, phishing links, or scam schemes.
  • Impersonating another community, a brand, or the Fluxer or FluxerList team.
  • Being a reskin of a previously banned or delisted server.
  • Vote manipulation through bots, scripts, or coordinated fake accounts.
  • False information on the submission form.

Content that sexualises minors, in any form and anywhere, is an immediate ban. There are no exceptions.
