# Spotlight and featured slots

A **Spotlight** puts your server or bot in a highlighted slot for a fixed time. You buy it with FL Tokens from your dashboard, and you can buy longer runs at a discount per hour.

## Slots and prices

There are **3 server slots** and **3 bot slots**, each running independently.

Bot spotlights also appear in the Bots UI, and both server and bot spotlights use the same prices.

## When every slot is taken

If all slots are filled when you buy, you join a **queue** instead of being turned away.

#### Buy a spotlight

Pick a duration. If a slot is free, it starts straight away.

#### Join the queue if you have to

Your position and your queued hours show on your dashboard. Slots are handed out oldest first as they free up.

#### Leave any time

You can leave the queue whenever you like. Rejoining sends you to the back.

> If your listing is unapproved, banned, or deleted while it's queued, it is dropped from the queue and your tokens are **refunded**.

## Weekly Spotlight auction

Separately from the timed slots above, one extra Spotlight slot sits at the top of page 1 of the server list, above all the results. It is auctioned each week in FL Tokens and goes to a single server.

* **Who can bid:** owners of approved servers that aren't marked NSFW.
* **When it runs:** the highest bid wins the whole week, from Monday 00:00 UTC to the following Monday.
* **Bid sizes:** the opening bid is 1,000 FL Tokens. Each raise must be at least 5% higher, and never less than 50 tokens. Bids are capped at 1,000,000.
* **Your tokens:** only the top bid holds tokens. If you're outbid, your tokens are refunded instantly.
* **If the winner becomes ineligible mid-week:** the owner gets a pro-rata refund of the unused part of the week and the slot shows empty.
* **No back-to-back wins:** the server holding this week's slot can't bid for next week's.

## Server featured slot

A separate shop item, the **server featured slot**, flags one of your servers as featured for 7 days for 2,500 FL Tokens. Buying it again while it's active extends it from the current expiry instead of overwriting it.

## Partner spotlights on the homepage
