# Instance Guidelines

These guidelines cover what's specific to self-hosted instance listings. They apply on top of the general [Community Guidelines](/community-guidelines). Read this before you [list your instance](/instances).

An instance listing points people at infrastructure you control, not at a server invite, so it's held to a different bar than a server or bot listing - domain ownership and uptime matter as much as content.

## Rejection and delisting

Any of these keeps a listing off FluxerList or gets a live one delisted. These are in addition to the general [conduct rules](/community-guidelines#conduct-rules) that apply to every listing type.

* Domain ownership never verified, or the token left to expire without a retry.
* Core, API, or Gateway health checks failing, including after going live.
* False or misleading information on the form.
* Impersonating another instance, community, brand, or the Fluxer or FluxerList team.
* Content or conduct that would get a server removed under the [Server Guidelines](/server-guidelines).
* The domain changing hands or no longer resolving to a real Fluxer instance.
